Title

Rex

Author

Gerry Edwards

Synopsis

Rex is the story of one mans courage to face his most primitive fears. The primal past surges to the surface as he searches for the source of his dreams. Will he be able to conquer these fears and nightmares? Will the past be able to fit into our present without destroying its delicate fabric? These are all questions posed and answered in an epic story of brutal and fierce confrontations. It also is a story of love and devotion between a being from the past and a person of the present. The reader is kept spellbound with action and questions of whether the hero can survive and go onto a life where he fits in.

Biography

Gerry Edwards is a glass artist by profession. About eight years ago he began indulging his writing skills by writing articles for some national publications, These were articles that dealt with one of his hobbies, metal detecting. Gerry wrote these articles as part of a therapy program that he devised for himself after a serious automobile accident. The metal detecting gave him physical exercise and the writing helped him regain his skills with vocabulary that he had lost. He had been told that he would never do his glasswork again and would be limited because of the neurological damage that he sustained. After many surgeries and struggles in therapy, Gerry proved them all wrong. He wrote many articles over the years and started blowing and carving glass again. Whites' Metal Detectors was so impressed with the articles that to this day they still supply him with new detectors to explore and write articles about. His glasswork is exhibited in many prestigious galleries on the west coast.
