Title
Diary of a Breakdown
Author
Dianne Mardon
Synopsis
Michelle's problems begin unobtrusively. She falls in love with a doctor at a week-long workshop who, for reasons she doesn't understand, doesn't contact her in person after she returns home. Her intuition tells her that he is as much in love with her as she is with him. To impress him, she becomes a donor to important organizations, travels extensively and lives well, financing her lifestyle with her accumulated assets and credit cards, certain that he will contact her and that everything will be fine. He doesn't. The stress of the situations which follow cause her mental health to gradually deteriorate and, now homeless, runs away beginning a frightening odyssey that ends only temporarily once she is finally able to return home.
