Title
Darren the Different Dragon
Author
Josephine Demmond
Synopsis
Darren isn't like other dragons; he is just too nice. He refuses to hurt anyone unless he is defending himself or someone else. He even looks different - his eyes are not fiery red like other dragon's eyes, but a soft baby blue.
After being kicked out of Dragon Valley and the Brotherhood of Scaly Monsters for refusing to kill a harmless pony, Darren rescues Gizmotown from the winter deep freeze that has its residents frozen stiff. After this good deed, they ask him to stay as their protector from creatures like the three-headed Galliwumps and Zanga Anga, the hate beast. Darren agrees, but is there room in that land-or anywhere-for a dragon with a conscience? With the help of delightful characters like an earthworm with an Irish brogue named Digga Wigga and Teena Weena Bug, a ladybug, Darren sets out to prove there is.
