A most readable and well-researched historical novel. Biography Author Patricia Kirwin was born in Windsor, Ontario, to immigrant British parents. In 1956, she married and moved to Michigan, and became a proud American citizen. Three years later, the author, her husband, and their two infant daughters traveled to Europe, where her husband became part of a NATO team designed to plant Jupiter missiles throughout the continent. It was in Italy that Ms. Kirwin discovered her ability to write using the powers of genetic memory. In 1963, the family settled in Florida, where her husband became part of the first Apollo launch team. Ms. Kirwin's activities have since included full-time motherhood, part-time registered nursing, land developing, and the operation of an exclusive antique shop. The Women of the Irish Race is one of five completed novels.
