Title
It's A Promise
Author
Elizabeth Shepherd
Synopsis
In Word, Poetry and Song
Storms are a part of life. When you wade through mud and muck, drenched by a downpour of pain and disillusionment, God will welcome you into His lifeboat of faith and help you find the shore that leads to victory-if you are willing. Years ago, to prepare me for one such time, He gave me sleepless nights, armed me with pen, paper, and my Bible, then caused me to write a document which, months later, became my life raft. I had no idea why I was writing these pages, but when the time came they showed me that no water is too deep to cross and no mountain is too high to climb when the Lord of Creation is with you.
Biography
Elizabeth (Betty) Shepherd, a native of Illinois, attended Chicago Bible College, now Christian Life College, and then taught in her alma mater before moving to St. Louis, Missouri, in the mid 1950s. After more than thirty years as an editor and specialist in public relations/marketing she, with her husband, Lawrence, moved to Terre du Lac, a lake community near Bonne Terre, Missouri. Her daughter, Laura, and grandsons Daniel and Ethan live down the street from her new home, which son-in-law Bruce built. Although she has spent her life writing, this is Betty's first book.
