Moss is a native of Asheville, North Carolina. Having been born as a "26-week preemie" in 1952, he has had to deal with total blindness in one eye and myopia which became legal blindness in the other. Graduating from Baylor University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, David wrote this book after years of personal Bible study and encouragement from his professors. While at Baylor he was a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, as well as Golden Key International Honor Society. During his senior year, David was vice president of the Baylor chapter of Theta Alpha Kappa Honor Society for Religion and Theology. David was chosen for the National Dean's List in 1995. David and his wife, Debbi, live in Waco, Texas, with their Shih Tzu, Cosmo, their Boston Terrier, Bigelow, and their two cockatiels, Andi and Sunny.
