A respected administrator and clinician, Veroni served as president of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and has chaired the NCAA softball rules committee. She has also been inducted into the Illinois Amateur Softball Association, Illinois State University, and the NFCA Halls of Fame. A letter-winner at Illinois State as well as a standout for the women's major Pekin Lettes, she won the world championship as a professional softball player with the Connecticut Falcons.
