Title

For Zion's Sake I Will Not Keep Silent

Author

Gary Kosak

Synopsis

A pilot and minister introduces some of Zion's suffering and courageous people and insists that a biblically obedient understanding of Zion is crucial for living in these perilous days. In 1948, a miracle occurred that had been foretold in the Scriptures: a nation would be born in a day (Isaiah 66:8). On May 14, 1948, David Ben Gurion stood on the steps of a Tel Aviv library and declared, for the world to hear, that Israel was a new nation. The very next day, Israel was attacked by five Arab armies. Since that time, the people of Zion have endured wars in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1970, 1973, and 1982. They have most recently been subjected to the ongoing daily violence of a war of terrorism promulgated by people who are focused on one thing: to annihilate Israel and her people. As a reader, you will meet several of Zion's people who have lived lives of deep suffering and uncertainty, but who have survived and continue to struggle for renewed HaTikvah - Hope! For Zion's Sake challenges each reader to become a sensitive servant to Israel and the Jewish people. It is a biblical exhortation and one that is crucial in these tumultuous days of terrorism, political intrigue, and the rise of a new world order.
