Title
peripeteia
Author
Marcus Tan Creti
Synopsis
This book of poetry comes from a period of my life produced by betrayal. I was betrayed by one with whom I had allowed myself to experience Love, even I was betraying myself. This relationship was the conduit through which I experienced a wide range of emotions such as Pain, Anger, and Hatred in a way that I have never experienced. This book is a journey through this chaotic period of losing myself in complete misery and self pity, in pain and agony, perpetuated by my unwillingness to let go or believe that anything or anyone could lift me out of despair. Scattered throughout these pages are glimmers of hope and realizations about what I had lost, without ever having been aware of what I had. The betrayals were born out of a dysfunctional life aggravated by severe drug abuse, without which none of it would have happened including the insight (I would not exist).
