Biography
Jean (Swengel) Beardsley Allen is a blood relative of Ulrich Zwingli, the great sixteenth-century Reformer. For nearly half a century Bible scholars have identified with his teachings and his faith in Jesus. The same negative forces which hindered the Reformation movement array themselves with great zeal against Christianity in these latter days. Insight from America's past is the key to its future. Our nation is vulnerable to destruction from within. To survive, God must be the driving force. This book is spiritually uplifting.
Jean Beardsley Allen holds a Masters degree from Michigan State University. She taught in the Michigan public schools for 21 years while she and her former husband, MSU Assistant Athletic Director William Beardsley raised four children. They also managed the Mackinac Island Chamber of Commerce for many years. Presently Jean and her husband William Allen spend their summers on Mackinac Island and they winter in Sarasota, Florida.
