Unwavering Faith-Forming the Creative Mindset Author Virginia Smith Ward Ph.D. Synopsis This booklet is only a manual; it is intended for people to expand their mind and see more than one way to survive, make money and become wealthy, God's way through faith. Faith and purpose is the component that pushes the faith substance button that releases the creative power within us. We are all spirit beings housed in our human body of special purposes. Biography I hear a lot of people talking about me, and I sometimes think about what they say, and I find myself wondering where do they get these things? I told my husband I can't see it and he says don't worry about it, people see you as an awesome women of God. I have to pinch myself sometimes just to see if this is really me. God has been so good to me, he has opened so many doors for me, and I am so glad to be one of his daughters that he has chosen to use in a special way. I was saved at the age of 7 years old and I began my evangelistic ministry at the age of 8, I was in the third grade, in my home town, Stuttgart, Arkansas and experienced God using me in a powerful way that rocked my world. Singing and preaching is my gift that I offer back to God, he has blessed me with these gifts to worship him and give him honor. I am blessed with 5 children and 6 grandchildren and the blessings of God are upon them. My newest grandson was born January 4, 2009 yes, this year, hooray! September 25, 2004 I was blessed to marry a sweet angel named Pastor Andrew Ward Sr., which loves me and supports my Ministry. He is the wonderful Pastor of Experiencing God Worship Center in Overland Park, KS, and another treat in my life. In 1967 my parents moved to Kansas City, KS were I had the opportunity to work for Bishop Charles Pleas and First Lady Virdina Pleas. Bishop Pleas was the Presiding Bishop of the Church Of God In Church, Kansas East Jurisdiction and student at the Northeast Jr. High School in Kansas City, KS. It was there were I begin to live in the abundances and enjoy life. I was scared at first, because I never had anyone to just take me and spend so much money on me as Mrs. Pleas did. And everyday I would walk to their home and help her do her house work and get paid each time. At that time my dad was laid off from work, and I would always give him the money I made so he could go and buy food for us. When I think about all of that it brings tears to my eyes knowing that God was using me in a special way. I have always sung in the little kids choir called the Sunshine Band at Benton Temple COGIC in Stuttgart, Arkansas where I'm from. When I was 3 years old I had the opportunity to recite Psalms 23 in Memphis, Tennessee at our National Convention where I was very nervous. I was always doing something that made people smile and say you are going to be somebody great, or God’s hand is upon you or you are going to touch a lot of people's lives. I gradated in 1972 from Sumner High, Kansas City, KS. That evening at my graduation I was the special soloist along with our high school choir, I song we've only just begun... what an opportunity! Since that time I have recorded two albums and traveled to many Cities and States as a professional singer along with my group, Virginia Smith & Company. I Co-pastored 8 years along with my late husband, Apostle Al Smith Sr. and served 8 years as Senior Pastor of the Pentecostal Deliverance Inner-Healing Ministries in Kansas City, KS. After the death of my husband, I was left with a huge responsibility; having to pastor what I called a large church at that time with over 500 members. I went back to school and studied at the Central Theological Seminary, in Kansas City, KS and attained my PhD in Ministry, Christian Education, and also became a licensed Christian Counselor. I wanted to be God's best. In 1999 I received an Honorary Degree in Divinity, at the Apostolic University of Grace and Truth, Dayton, Ohio and with that I served as Dean of the Jesus Christ Apostolic Academy, Des Moines, Iowa. I am a counselor to Bishops, Overseers, Pastors, and Laity. I enjoy the assignment God has given me to serve on his behalf. In 1981 my late husband and I joined Pentecostal COGIC, Kansas City, MO under the leadership of Bishop Daniel M. Jordan. This is where I was able to freely use my gifts and talents, Bishop Jordan seen an anointing on both of us and he begin to take out time with us and teach us about deliverance ministry. That is where I begin to really understanding the deep things of God and move in the supernatural, casting out devils, healing the sick, teaching the word of God, preaching and singing, in a free and anointed atmosphere. Thank you, Jesus. I had another life changing experience in 2006. My husband, Pastor Andrew Ward went to Stone Mountain, GA to a Church Growth Conference and on the last night Dr. I.V. Hilliard spoke, when the Conference was over he came home and placed a tape in my hand and every sense that day my life has not been the same. In the last 3 years I've been studying the fields of astrology, botany, physics and more. To understand more of the things of God and how awesome he was in creation. Also to give me a more in-depth insight of his mighty power, since of humor, love and desire to express himself through us; his people. As a Professional Speaker & Singer, I have a Ministry named Surviving The Storm and Pastor Experiencing God Worship Center along with my husband. With a total of 21 years as a minister and 38 years of public speaking I have been given an awesome word from the Lord to bless and encourage his people. I want to share this powerful and anointed word with you. To God Be The Glory!!
